Time and space in a complicated life, tend to cause us to detach from ourselves so that seemingly, life’s burdens do not trouble us too much. In doing this we detach ourselves from our inner being.

However, within each of us is the innate ability to move beyond circumstances and into fully integrated perceptions and thought. This becomes our vehicle towards the re-birth of the inner child. You were never meant to suffer, to be discouraged, to be defeated, to be troubled.  You were always meant to enjoy happiness, peace, great amounts of love, and its greater effect of loving the world around you.

Within each of us is the power of a living consciousness that comes to us when we seek it with our heart, soul, and mind as one. The audience was stilled by the query.
The father continued. ‘I believe that when a child like Shay, who was mentally and physically disabled comes into the world, an opportunity to realize true human nature presents itself, and it comes in the way other people treat that child.’

Then he told the following story:

Shay and I had walked past a park where some boys Shay knew were playing baseball. Shay asked, ‘Do you think they’ll let me play?’ I knew that most of the boys would not want someone like Shay on their team, but as a father I also understood that if my son were allowed to play, it would give him a much-needed sense of belonging and some confidence to be accepted by others in spite of his handicaps.

I approached one of the boys on the field and asked (not expecting much) if Shay could play. The boy looked around for guidance and said, ‘We’re losing by six runs and the game is in the eighth inning. I guess he can be on our team and we’ll try to put him in to bat in the ninth inning….’

Shay struggled over to the team’s bench and, with a broad smile, put on a team shirt… I watched with a small tear in my eye and warmth in my heart. The boys saw my joy at my son being accepted.

In the bottom of the eighth inning, Shay’s team scored a few runs but was still behind by three.
In the top of the ninth inning, Shay put on a glove and played in the right field. Even though no hits came his way,omes in the way other people treat that child.’

Then he told the following story:

In the bottom of the ninth inning, Shay’s team scored again.  Now, with two outs and the bases loaded, the potential winning run was on base and Shay was scheduled to be next at bat.
At this juncture, do they let Shay bat and give away their chance to win the game?

Surprisingly, Shay was given the bat. Everyone knew that a hit was all but impossible because Shay didn’t even know how to hold the bat properly, much less connect with the ball.

However, as Shay stepped up to the plate, the pitcher, recognizing that the other team was putting winning aside for this moment in Shay’s life, moved in a few steps to lob the ball in softly so Shay could at least make contact.

The first pitch came and Shay swung clumsily and missed.
The pitcher again took a few steps forward to toss the ball softly towards Shay.

As the pitch came in, Shay swung at the ball and hit a slow ground ball right back to the pitcher.

The game would now be over.

The pitcher picked up the soft grounder and could have easily thrown the ball to the first baseman.

Shay would have been out and that would have been the end of the game.

Instead, the pitcher threw the ball right over the first baseman’s head, out of reach of all team mates.

Everyone from the stands and both teams started yelling, ‘Shay, run to first!

Run to first!’

Never in his life had Shay ever run that far, but he made it to first base.

He scampered down the baseline, wide-eyed and startled.

Everyone yelled, ‘Run to second, run to second!’

Catching his breath, Shay awkwardly ran towards second, gleaming and struggling to make it to the base.

By the time Shay rounded towards second base, the right fielder had the ball. The smallest guy on their team now had his first chance to be the hero for his team.  He could have thrown the ball to the second-baseman for the tag, but he understood the pitcher’s intentions so he, too, intentionally threw the ball high and far over the third-baseman’s head.

Shay ran toward third base deliriously as the runners ahead of him circled the bases toward home.   All were screaming, ‘Shay, Shay, Shay, all the Way Shay’

Shay reached third base because the opposing shortstop ran to help him by turning him in the direction of third base, and shouted, ‘Run to third!

‘Shay, Run to third!’

As Shay rounded third, the boys from both teams, and the spectators, were on their feet screaming, ‘Shay, run home! Run home!’

Shay ran to home, stepped on the plate, and was cheered as the hero who hit the grand slam and won the game for his team.  ‘That day’, said the father softly with tears now rolling down his face, ‘the boys from both teams helped bring a piece of true love and humanity into this world’.

Shay didn’t make it to another summer. He died that winter, having never forgotten being the hero and making me so happy, and on that day coming home to mom, seeing her tearfully embrace her little hero of the day!

AND NOW A LITTLE FOOT NOTE TO THIS STORY:

We all send thousands of jokes through the e-mail without a second thought, but when it comes to sending messages about the life choices and love, people hesitate.  The crude, vulgar, and often obscene pass freely through cyberspace; but public discussion about decency is too often suppressed in our schools and workplaces.

As I read this email and even now, I find it hard to hold the tears because I’ve seen my son struggle in the same way.  It is time for people… to understand the joy of giving love for the sake of self esteem.  After all those that we give love to may also be struggling with self esteem and exceptance, as was Shay.

 When we put aside our petty conceptualizations and passive vulgarity, and give ourselves the opportunity to lift someone else up in love we only help ourselves and the world around us.

We all have thousands of opportunities every single day to help realize the natural order of things.  So many seemingly trivial interactions between two people present us with a choice:

Do we pass along a little spark of love and humanity, or do we pass up those opportunities and leave the world a little bit colder in the process?

A wise man once said every society is judged by how it treats it’s least fortunate amongst them.

First, we must look up to a higher plane in order to see them… 

Secondly, we must give ourselves the time needed to view their construction and beauty in its entirety; for if we just take a glance, we would surely miss the beauty and ingenuity of their constructions. 

Then we must be able to see that, though they reach the heights, they base their foundation on the plane for which they stand…   Many times we stand in the world of today feeling that there is no way to reach the heights of conscious love and harmony within.  

This is because from where we stand, we see too much negativity and disillusionment which we begin to believe makes it impossible for us to lift ourselves up out of lonely disparity and into the heights of love and harmony. 

The vision must not be external….all the power of creation starts from within the heart and soul of the individual.    To look at the arches of love and harmony which encompass our world is only to realize that the ingredients of love and harmony are already founded within our hearts. 

I do not believe that I can create love and harmony from the negativity and disillusionment that is in the world today; therefore, I look within to the power of love and harmony in my soul to create the arch of godlike protection which surrounds both me and all those who tap into their own inner god like ability for love and harmony as they reach out from within to the world around them.   In this way they become the arch ways to the universe of love and compassion. 

The Neothink® Society is a foundation from which to build love and harmony in that all of its members are becoming as one, joined in that purpose.   Celebrate this possibility in your life views and it will become the reality of your existence on this plane. 

Sooner, rather than later you will find yourself becoming the arching stairway to far reaching universal destinations while standing here on earth.  In this, you will become the archway capable of encompassing those around you with the power of love – you will lift them up in love creating harmony among yourselves.   This is the foundation from which harmony is built upon as it arches upwards to touch the matching out reach from the other side – the universal love with the heavens.         

The Undefeated Life

Now that we are headed into another electoral process with the upcoming Presidential elections at term end of President Obama, I decided to look in to what a political party is supposed to be and what it is supposed to do for America and her people.

Traditionally, a political party is an organized political group of members who seek to attain and maintain the political purposes of its governing body.  Originally, with the signing of the Declaration of Independence and ratification of the U.S. Constitution into law, the purpose of politics in America was to first attain and then maintain political power for America within the establishment of her independent governmental system thereby removing America and her peoples from the rule of England and her King.

In nonpartisan elections, each candidate is eligible for office on his or her own merits. In nonpartisan legislatures, there are no typically formal party alignments within the legislature. The administration of George Washington and the first few sessions of the US Congress were nonpartisan. Washington also warned against political parties during his Farewell Address.

I found it interesting to read that the administration of George Washington and the first few sessions of the U.S. Congress were nonpartisan.  George Washington’s Farewell Address was written to “The People of the United States” near the end of his second term as President of the United States.

George Washington summarized his zeal in establishing and maintaining the purpose and ideals of the union of the States through the U.S. Constitution as a non-partisan document with these statements from his Farewell Speech:

Excerpts from George Washington’s Farwell Speech in italics:

“Interwoven in our Constitutional purpose is the love of liberty with every ligament of your hearts, no recommendation of mine is necessary to fortify or confirm the attachment.”

“The unity of Government, which constitutes you one people, is also now dear to you. It is justly so; for it is a main pillar in the edifice of your real independence, the support of your tranquility at home, your peace abroad; of your safety; of your prosperity; of that very Liberty, which you so highly prize. But as it is easy to foresee, that, from different causes and from different quarters, much pains will be taken, many artifices employed, to weaken in your minds the conviction of this truth; as this is the point in your political fortress against which the batteries of internal and external enemies will be most constantly and actively (though often covertly and insidiously) directed, it is of infinite moment, that you should properly estimate the immense value of your national Union to your collective and individual happiness; that you should cherish a cordial, habitual, and immovable attachment to it; accustoming yourselves to think and speak of it as of the Palladium of your political safety and prosperity; watching for its preservation with jealous anxiety; discountenancing whatever may suggest even a suspicion, that it can in any event be abandoned; and indignantly frowning upon the first dawning of every attempt to alienate any portion of our country from the rest, or to enfeeble the sacred ties which now link together the various parts.”

In these statements, Washington clearly emphasizes the importance of protection of the union in the bond between the States as this bond, in and of itself, (the U.S. Constitution), was designed to ensure protection of America, her Peoples, as well as her Prosperity as a Nation.   This was considered the pillar supporting the Non-Partisan ideals of Independence and Freedoms for All People in America as outlined in the Declaration of Independence.

He further relates these as individual values to the American people; in that, although they may be of different States, it is the work towards Independence and Liberty that was the common bond between the States themselves despite their personal agendas that brought about Liberty and the Hope of Prosperity to America and her People.

Again, from the Farewell Speech…

“For this you have every inducement of sympathy and interest. Citizens, by birth or choice, of a common country, that country have a right to concentrate your affections. The name of American, which belongs to you, in your national capacity, must always exalt the just pride of Patriotism, more than any appellation derived from local discriminations. With slight shades of difference, you have the same religion, manners, habits, and political principles. You have in a common cause fought and triumphed together; the Independence and Liberty you possess are the work of joint counsels, and joint efforts, of common dangers, sufferings, and successes.”

“But these considerations, however powerfully they address themselves to your sensibility, are greatly outweighed by those, which apply more immediately to your interest. Here every portion of our country finds the most commanding motives for carefully guarding and preserving the Union of the whole.”

With a nonpartisan system… No official political parties exist; for often when a political party is governing the peoples, restrictions on political parties are created in an effort to turn the tides of events in the political arena favoring one party’s agenda over another….

We had seen this in the Red and Blue tale spin at the ballot box which removed Al Gore (a Democrat – political party one) from the Presidential Office, replacing him with George Bush (a Republican – political party two); this was all blamed on the electoral processes itself and that ambiguous entity, “The Hanging Chad!”   

In recounting these unusual events, Justice Antonin Scalia was quoted as stating… 

“The counting of votes of questionable legality has done irreparable harm not just to petitioner Bush but to the country as a whole. Indeed, how far has this August body fallen that we might contemplate as reasonable the perversion of an election and the awarding of the highest office in the land to a man—never has the term been more laughably conferred—who could not even carry his home state. We have abrogated reason and truth in favor of a consoling liberal fiction, a farce of wish-fulfillment identity politics.”

Why did George Washington feel that the two party system was a threat to the American Constitution’s purpose?

This except taken from his Farewell Speech clarifies the question:
“Towards the preservation of your government, and the permanency of your present happy state, it is requisite, not only that you steadily discountenance irregular oppositions to its acknowledged authority, but also that you resist with care the spirit of innovation upon its principles, however specious the pretexts. One method of assault may be to effect, in the forms of the constitution, alterations, which will impair the energy of the system, and thus to undermine what cannot be directly overthrown.”
“In all the changes to which you may be invited, remember that time and habit are at least as necessary to fix the true character of governments, as of other human institutions; that experience is the surest standard, by which to test the real tendency of the existing constitution of a country; that facility in changes, upon the credit of mere hypothesis and opinion, exposes to perpetual change, from the endless variety of hypothesis and opinion; and remember, especially, that, for the efficient management of our common interests, in a country so extensive as ours, a government of as much vigor as is consistent with the perfect security of liberty is indispensable. Liberty itself will find in such a government, with powers properly distributed and adjusted, its surest guardian. It is, indeed, little else than a name, where the government is too feeble to withstand the enterprises of faction, to confine each member of the society within the limits prescribed by the laws, and to maintain all in the secure and tranquil enjoyment of the rights of person and property.”
“I have already intimated to you the danger of parties in the state, with particular reference to the founding of them on geographical discriminations. Let me now take a more comprehensive view, and warn you in the most solemn manner against the baneful effects of the spirit of party, generally. This spirit, unfortunately, is inseparable from our nature, having its root in the strongest passions of the human mind. It exists under different shapes in all governments, more or less stifled, controlled, or repressed; but, in those of the popular form, it is seen in its greatest rankness, and is truly their worst enemy.”
This is what Mark Hamilton describes as, Flawed Filled Man” and/or the Flawed Filled Agendas of today’s fractal Politicians.
“The alternate domination of one faction over another, sharpened by the spirit of revenge, natural to party dissension, which in different ages and countries has perpetrated the most horrid enormities, is itself a frightful despotism. But this leads at length to a more formal and permanent despotism. The disorders and miseries, which result, gradually incline the minds of men to seek security and repose in the absolute power of an individual; and sooner or later the chief of some prevailing faction, more able or more fortunate than his competitors, turns this disposition to the purposes of his own elevation, on the ruins of Public Liberty.”
This is what we see today in the political arena as the Ruling Class Elite have driven the motives of many flawed fill politicians towards a direction that prospers the elite; and undermines the prosperity of the individual American Citizen.
“Without looking forward to an extremity of this kind, (which nevertheless ought not to be entirely out of sight,) the common and continual mischief’s of the spirit of party are sufficient to make it the interest and duty of a wise people to discourage and restrain it. It serves always to distract the Public Councils, and enfeeble the Public Administration. It agitates the Community with ill-founded jealousies and false alarms; kindles the animosity of one part against another, foments occasionally riot and insurrection. It opens the door to foreign influence and corruption, which find a facilitated access to the government itself through the channels of party passions. Thus the policy and the will of one country are subjected to the policy and will of another.” A prime example of Initiatory Force!
“There is an opinion, that parties in free countries are useful checks upon the administration of the Government, and serve to keep alive the spirit of Liberty. This within certain limits is probably true; and in Governments of a Monarchical cast, Patriotism may look with indulgence, if not with favor, upon the spirit of party. But in those of the popular character, in Governments purely elective, it is a spirit not to be encouraged. From their natural tendency, it is certain there will always be enough of that spirit for every salutary purpose. And, there being constant danger of excess, the effort ought to be, by force of public opinion, to mitigate and assuage it. A fire not to be quenched, it demands a uniform vigilance to prevent its bursting into a flame, lest, instead of warming, it should consume.”
“It is important, likewise, that the habits of thinking in a free country should inspire caution, in those entrusted with its administration, to confine themselves within their respective constitutional spheres, avoiding in the exercise of the powers of one department to encroach upon another. The spirit of encroachment tends to consolidate the powers of all the departments in one, and thus to create, whatever the form of government, a real despotism. A just estimate of that love of power, and proneness to abuse it, which predominates in the human heart, is sufficient to satisfy us of the truth of this position.”

In order for a political party to represent the purpose of its citizens political parties utilize the electoral campaign process.  In this way, parties often seek to represent their party’s ideology or vision through a written platform which outlines the specific goals and purposes for those goals within the party system.  

The Twelve Visions Party® can be considered a party, only that it is an organization of American Citizens which believe that the America, her political processes, and her politicians have deviated from the original strengths and virtues which were represented in the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution.  In a sense the Twelve Visions Party® can be seen as a non-partisan agreement between the American Citizens of our day who thoroughly agree that we need to amend our U.S. Constitution with the protection only values of the Prime Law Amendment.

OUCH! I talked to another place with my diagnostic code in hand and told them of the Ford estimate (Big Mistake).  This place sent me to another place and here is where the nightmare begins.  I went to this place Fri. afternoon after picking up my son from his program.   He is Autistic and does not do well with change, or having to stay somewhere with nothing to do.   This Mechanics shop informed me that it would take an hour to perform the diagnostics.    

 I asked if I could come in the following day, Sat. at opening, so that there would be time to finish the work as I have only one car and need it for the up-coming week.   I went prepared to wait for an hour, thinking that if there were extensive work to be done I would take my son to the movies across the street.   I got there a little  after opening with my son who had books to read.   We sat patiently for one hour reading books.     

The mechanic came in and brought me a spreadsheet of diagnostic problems that could cost up to $765.00 for repairs.  However, the manager said a smoke diagnostic test needed to be performed to fill the compression with smoke to determine where the leakage of compression was occurring which was causing the (running lean on O94 code).  He asked me if I would come back in one hour after he had performed this second diagnostic test.   I walked with my son for an hour visiting a coffee house for a snack and coffee, and then off to Michael’s, then to a bakery thrift shop (my son likes to look at food on shelves).  The whole hour my Son repeated…what we were supposed to be doing insistently; O.C.D. is very typical with Autism; and I continued to inform him as to why we were not able, at that point, but that when the work was done we could.    

 I walked about three miles today, and after one hour and fifteen minutes returned to find out the results of the additional diagnostic.   The manager met me and said that he had not started the second diagnostic and that I needed to wait for another hour.   Because my son is Autistic, it gets very difficult to continue to disappoint him.  I said to the Manager, why did you tell me to come back in an hour then if you were not going to do the test in that time frame?  I was not yelling, I just asked an honest question in my disappointment.     At this point he became upset and said, “BS! You’re calling me a liar, if you don’t want to wait then have someone else do the work!” Yelling….   He knew he had me over a barrel, as he had observed my son’s activity, and also understood that I did not have anyone that could pick us up.   I replied, “No, I’m not calling you a liar…I’m just saying that if you were not going to do the work in the time you specified for me, you should not have told me to wait…   Then he said, “I’m not going to do the work! pull her car out!”   I told him I could not believe that he would turn down a cash customer that was prepared to drop $600.00 cash…I asked to speak with the owner of the company and he would not let me…    

On my way home I spotted another Mechanics shop within walking distance to my home.   I drove in with my diagnostic in hand and explained all of the work the prev. shop had said I needed and about how they continued to delay performance; getting disrespectful towards me when I questioned their business practice.     I was encouraged when this shop seemed to understand how wrongly I had been treated.   Guess what?  They performed their diagnostic and found that I was running lean because my fuel filter was clogged, needed replacement; and also I needed a fuel injector cleaning due to fuel running through a dirty fuel filter.  Interestingly enough, I had paid for a new fuel filter about two months ago at another Mechanics Shop. The work was performed, including diagnostics within two and one half hours, costing me $142.00!     It seems today that people in many businesses just don’t care about honest business practices….I guess woman are seen as ignorant and venerable by so many Mechanic Shops.   This is the way of business today in a world that is contrary to performing honest business practices in integrity, and most importantly, while respecting the customer….This is the Anti-Civilization.   These dishonest business types create an Un-Civilized atmosphere in our society today.   I felt so up-set with myself for being, “Once Again, angered and frustrated with today’s dishonest society, the Anti-Civilization.”   I am always disappointed when someone takes advantage of me because it goes back to that time in my life when the world made me believe I was not good enough; and that I deserved what I got.”    

There is a happy ending here though, after the work was performed by an honest Mechanic Shop, with an Honest Business Owner, we each saw the value of what we were bringing to the table.   He gave me good work at a very good price; without trying to over charge, and cheat me, and; I also found out that he wanted his mechanics’ to wear shirts with his company logo on them.   So guess what?   We viewed my T-Shirt website, I showed him my art and designing abilities and he emailed me his logo asking me to insert a car on a road to it and turn it into company T-Shirts.    

I love this….We, through our respect for each other, were able to offer additional value to each of our companies, and in that way continue to grow.   This is what happens when honest people work together for the benefit of all.   This is how the civilization of the civilized in the universe of honest service providers will prevail.    I just hope that at some point, I can find a Mechanic within the Neothink® Society; or perhaps, I have already found my future Neothink® Mechanics Shop….   Thank you, Elaine Ray is The Undefeated Life (at least in this outcome)…
